  • 27 January 07: We added a profile of a new Armenian singer from Aleppo, Lena Chamamyan, with some tracks from her first album, to the Arabic Listening Section. She has a unique voice and combines classical with fusion and jazz styles.
  • 29 October 06: We added a profile and some rare music of the Lebanese maestro Farid Ghosn, who was ranked with the top Arab musicians of the twentieth century and an innovater who expanded the potential of the oud and fused Arab and Western music, to the Rare Tunes section. We added 0ne of his tracks to the Downloads Page in high sound quality.
  • 24 September 06: We added one track of Anouar Brahem's new album Le voyage de Sahar to the Arabic instrumental Listening Section. One of the tracks was added to the Downloads Page in high sound quality.
  • 15 June 06: We updated the profile of the Egyptian musician Mohammad Abdel Wahab and added several songs representing the various styles and phases of his music, to the arabic Classical Songs section.
  • 10 February 06: We added a profile of the Egyptian maestro Abdel Halim Nuwairah, founder of Firqat al-Musiqa al-Arabiyah, which reproduced major classical Arabic works. Listen to Arabic music in its most sophisticated, elaborate and pure form, performed by this ensemble in the Rare Tunes section.
  • 31 January 06: We added a complete recording of Sayed Mekkawy's comic operetta "El Laila El Kebira" (the great night) which depicts the Mawled festival in rural Egypt, to the arabic Classical Songs section.
  • 20 December 05: Three tracks from Charbel Rouhana's latest album Sourat-Trait D'union were added to the Arabic instrumental Listening Section. One of the tracks was added to the Downloads Page in high sound quality.
  • 06 November 05: We added a clip of the Aleppo master Sabri Mdallal performing dawr Asl el-Gharam Nazrah, a classical song originally composed by Muhammad Uthman, who was a leading Egyptian musician in the 19th century. The dawr is regarded as the most sophisticated form of the classical Arabic song, although it was discontinued in the 1930's. Asl el-Gharam Nazrah was performed by many Arab artists, including Oum Kulthoum, Marie Jubran and Sabah Fakhri, but Sabri's performance is probably the greatest.   • 09 September 05: We added a profile and songs of the Tunisian singer Oulaya to the arabic Classical Songs section. You can listen to the original version of Alli Gara in her own voice.
  • 20 August 05: We added a song from Kazem al-Saher's new album Mallena Elbo'ad to the Arabic Listening Section and to the Downloads Page in high sound quality. This song is along Kazem's early folklore style that made him famous.
  • 12 August 05: We added two tracks of the Indian classical sarangi virtuoso Sultan Khan to the instrumental music Listening Section.
  • 16 April 05: Three video clips of Wael Jassar, Latifa and Asala were added to the Video Section.
  • 23 January 05: New tracks of Cheb Khaled and Cheb Mami were added to the Listening Section section.
  • 22 November 04: We added a profile and songs of the Egyptian composer and singer Sayed Mekkawy to the arabic Classical Songs section.
  • 25 August 04: We updated the page of the Lebanese artist Fairouz and added a variety of songs representing the different styles she sang throughout her musical career, in the arabic Classical Songs section.
  • 5 July 04: We added a new video clip of the Egyptian artist Dina dancing to a classical Oum Kulthoum song, and a video clip of the Pakistani Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, in which the Bengali model Lisa Ray makes a seductive appearance, to the Video Section.
  • 15 June 04: We added a live video clip of Abdel Halim Hafez singing one of his superb songs to the Video Section.
  • 4 April 04: We added songs by the leading Moroccan Andalusi singer Mohamed Bajedoub to the arabic Classical Songs section.
  • 24 December 03: We added three video clips of the Moroccan singer Hasna, the Saudi singer Rashed el-Majed and the Iraqi oudist Naseer Shamma to the Video Section.
  • 16 November 03: The arabic Classical Songs section was updated and we added some major works of Mohammad Abdel Wahab, Oum Kulthoum and Asmahan.
  • 10 October 03: Two tracks from Charbel Rouhana's new albumVice Versa were added to the Instrumental Section. We added one of them in mp3 on the Downloads Page. We also added info and songs by the outstanding Lebanese artist Tania Saleh in the Listening Section.
  • 14 September 03: Two songs from Kazem al-Saher's new album Hafiyat al-Qadamain were added to the Listening Section.
  • 01 September 03: We updated the MP3 page and added three tracks by Natacha Atlas, Nitin Sawhney with Tina Grace, and Anouar Brahem (instrumental piece) on the Downloads Page.
  • 28 August 03: Two songs of the Anglo-Indian artist Nitin Sawney, from his new album Human, were added to the Listening Section.
  • 24 August 03: Four songs of the Moroccan singer Natacha Atlas, including one of her new album Something Dangerous, were added to the the Listening Section.
