About Us
Oriental Tunes is an attempt to present oriental music
to non-orientals, who are curious to know about it,
and to orientals themselves, is about oriental music,
where it came from and where it is going. his site
is a modest contribution to idea behind this site
is to preserve genuine oriental music as it expresses
the true identity
Oriental music is rich and not confined to one geographical
region. We shall try to cover an area as wide as possible,
from Morocco to Iran, and further east if we can,
to Pakistan and India. We shall not emphasize traditional
music alone, but will follow what is new, the modern
trends in oriental music, how it is influencing the
world music and how it is influenced by it.
The Listening
section gives a general idea of what we are trying
to do. We also added a Rare
Tunes section, in which we present masterworks
which are not available on the market. We are working
on our database and store, where we shall offer a
selection of CDs which fall within the interest we
described above.
Oriental Tunes is a subsidiary of Palvision Ltd.,
an offshore company registered in Cyprus and operating
